According to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, it’s illegal to touch manatees. They also took this opportunity to remind the public that if a manatee avoids you, do not chase the sea cow for a closer view.

The video was originally shared on Facebook by WPTV where it has received over a million video views as of Friday afternoon.
