The Flamingo Visitor Center offers educational displays, informational brochures, and backcountry permits. Campground facilities, a public boat ramp, a marina store, and other hiking and canoeing trails are located near the visitor center.

<p><em>Everglades currently offers tours of Whitewater Bay Backcountry Tour and Florida Bay at the Flamingo marina. </em>

Backcountry Boat Tour
The 90 minute Everglades Backcountry Tour departs daily at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, & 3:00 PM. This boat tour ventures up the Buttonwood Canal through Coot Bay and Tarpon Creek into the mouth of Whitewater Bay.

Florida Bay Tour
The 90 minute Everglades Florida Bay Tour departs daily at 12 noon, 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. (subject to change with changing sunset times.) Along the way, the naturalist will highlight the unique plant and animal life the Everglades has to offer while outlining the rich history of Flamingo and Everglades National Park.

Canoe, kayak, and bicycle rentals are available through Everglades Guest Services. For additional information, call (239) 695-1095.

Reservations available for some sites; others are first-come first-served only. Electric, non-electric (drive-to), walk-to, and group sites are available. Registration is at the Flamingo Marina Store. Reservations are highly recommended in the winter, especially for electric sites. Reservations can be made for the Flamingo Campground here or call 855-708-2207 from November 20th – April 15th during the high season. No reservations needed during off-season months between April 16 – Nov.19. During the summer wet season, portions of the campgrounds are closed due to flooding.

A food truck, selling sandwiches, salads, and various other meals is open daily at the Flamingo marina from 11:30 AM – 5:00 PM (subject to change). Learn more.

Fuel is available for public use for boats and vehicles. Includes gas and diesel fuel.

The Marina Store is open! Food, drinks, gifts, ice, firewood & camping supplies, bait & tackle (frozen), and more are now for available for purchase! Restrooms are open in the marina store. Hours are currently 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM daily.

Other than the campground, Flamingo currently offers Eco tents that can be reserved in advance.

Wilderness Camping Permit costs are $21 for the permit and $2 per person per night camping fee. The costs will apply for advanced reservations and walk-up permits year-round. A credit card is needed for both online and in-person permit reservations.
